RE: Recipes for Eggplant...please!!

Slice it, soak in salt water for an hour, coat with bread crumbs or cracker crumbs and any seasoning you like, fry in oil. Don't burn it. Enjoy :C

RE: Wild Hogs....give me the hunting scoop

Depends on the range. In close, 30-30. 100yds plus, .270, 308, 30-06 work well. I'm not a fan of the fast light calibers for game.

RE: javalina

I won't eat a javelina. They are a relative of the coon according to a game warden. Our lease in Rio Grande City is covered with'em. Great animals for checking to make sure you scope is on. Even more fun to hunt with an AR-15/10 or something of the sort. I see that Texas considers these game animals, with seasons and limits. Your comments suggest unsportsmanlike behavior which reflects poorly on hunters in general. More than ever, we as hunters need to respect the game, the land, and other people. There are many that don't agree with hunting, let alone our right to own firearms.

RE: Wild Hogs....give me the hunting scoop

I've only hunted them in the day time, with a dog. Good eats ;)

RE: What gear?

Manually dropping the transmission into the gear it needs to be in for the situation (big hill, manuevering the trailer, etc) just before the situation presents itself (you see it comming), eliminates the lugging, downshifting, sudden revving and heating up the converter of letting it shift on it's own, none of which is good for the motor or trans. The trans will try to hold that higher gear as long as it can before downshifting. I prefer to keep it in the right gear myself when I know what's comming up. Correct answer. Good job of explaining mountain driving and exactly what I do.

RE: Dodge 3500 (diesel) spare parts for Mexico trip?

In addition to bailing wire and duct-tape :B I'd take two extra fuel filters and one oil filter. I'd start out with a fresh air filter. Have fun.

RE: Need help with a bacon recipe

Put in in a blender with a few bananas and some milk and make a shake. Good 1 :B You don't have to eat the rind ;)

RE: Bad Food... and such small portions....

We were down in South Georgia a few years back and went to a very nice restaurant known for it's good food. A couple at the table next to ours started complaining to the waiter as soon as they were served about how badly prepared the food was and finally asked to see the manager. He came out to their table and listened to them complain for about 1 minute, picked up their plates and said (loud enough that I could here him) "Maybe you would enjoy dining elsewhere" and promptly walked away with the plates in his hand. They grumbled a few moments and got up and walked out. I was amazed there was not a big "to do" but nothing else was said. Perfect way to handle those that can't be pleased. Send 'em down the road :C

RE: Legal question: Is a search warrant required for RV entry?

Well, at $4.16 a minute, $8.00 ought to cover it, and thanks :B

RE: Suhuttle is home!!

We just happened to be going by Edwards on 58 when one was coming in. It made a double sonic boom. Pretty neat.

RE: Bad Food... and such small portions....

I feel sorry for the wait people that have to suffer these bores. Do chronic complainers realize how silly they appear to others?
